Mindfulness, Neuroscience, and Daily Life (MiND) Study

We’re recruiting!

If you are interested in being a participant, please fill out our interest form here: interest form. We are currently recruiting 18-25 year olds.

We are looking for adults (18-25 years old) to participate in a project about mindfulness. Participation involves completing 2 in-person visits (approximately 2 hours each) at the Penn State University Park campus Moore building. In the lab, you will complete questionnaires about yourself and your emotions. Participants brain and heart rate activity also will be monitored while completing mindfulness activities, separated by 4 weeks of at-home activities with online questionnaires. During the four weeks you are not coming into the lab, participants will have 8 at-home sessions (2 per week) to complete, that take approximately 30 minutes each (1 hour total per week).

This study is a collaboration between the Emotion Development Lab and Dr. William Doan, a professor in the School of Theatre.

Please email or call the head of the research study, Dr. Sarah Myruski, at (814) 865-9514 if you have questions, complaints, or concerns about the research.
